Jackson Martin - Director of Racquet Sports

Hailing from the great Pines of the Pacific Northwest, Jackson Martin has called Pittsburgh home for almost an entire decade. Although he’s been coaching racquets for 15+ years, Jackson enjoyed an award-winning career in college athletics before joining Allegheny Country Club full-time in 2021.

Following a successful collegiate career at the University of Portland (UP), where he successfully helped UP achieve record highs in NCAA Division 1 team rankings and sat himself in the Doubles rankings, Jackson began work at the University of Tennessee Knoxville as a Student-Development Coordinator. Ultimately, his work led him to the University of Pittsburgh where he led the Student-Athlete Development team as the Director of Student-Athlete Development. While at Pitt, Jackson was twice named the Administrator of the Year by Pitt Athletics and received national recognition as a recipient of the prestigious “Professional Promise” award from the National Association of College Directors of Athletics.

In all of his collegiate stops, Jackson stayed immensely involved in the racquets community, both at Fox Den Racquet Club in Knoxville, and Alpha Tennis and Fitness in Pittsburgh. Ultimately, Jackson chose to take on racquets full-time in 2021 and join Allegheny Country Club as the Assistant Director of Racquets under John Moyer. In three years, Jackson and John were able to initiate many novel programs and build sustained growth for the club and racquets program. In early 2024, Jackson joined Edgeworth Club in Sewickley as the Director of Tennis under Jess Guyaux. In this role, Jackson helped lead all aspects of the racquets program including platform tennis, tennis, pickleball, and squash.

Jackson holds teaching certifications from USA Pickleball, the Professional Tennis Registry, and the American Platform Tennis Association.
